Lenten Food Drive for AFAC
During Lent, we will collect food for the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) to nourish our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. AFAC distributes over 80,000 pounds of food for more than 2,500 families every week. 40% of that food is donated to AFAC from food drives and grocery store donations. The most needed items include low sugar and low sodium cereal, canned tuna, canned soups, canned vegetables, canned tomatoes, peanut butter in plastic jars, sugar, flour, cooking oil, and coffee. You may place your items in the white AFAC box located in the vestibule as you enter the front doors to the church. If you have any questions, please contact Helen Hines.
