Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC)

Sign up here for a Saturday afternoon volunteer opportunity at the AFAC warehouse. Join us on the first Saturday of the month from 12:30-2:30. Volunteers will meet at the AFAC warehouse and bag produce, rice, beans for later distribution to clients. Volunteers must be at least twelve years old, wear close-toed shoes, and a hat or hair net.
St. Michael's actively supports the mission of Arlington Food Assistance Center: To feed our neighbors in need by providing dignified access to nutritious supplemental groceries. Food insecurity is an ongoing problem for many residents in Arlington. Since the beginning of COVID-19, AFAC has experienced a 45% increase in referrals. Through financial contributions, volunteer shifts at the warehouse, and food drives, St. Michael's partners with AFAC in serving the greater Arlington community.
