Triangle of Hope Pilgrimage for 8th–11th graders (Summer 2023)

The Diocese of Virginia is rebuilding our team of pilgrims for the Triangle of Hope Youth Pilgrimage. The Triangle of Hope is a covenantal community dedicated to transforming the long history, ongoing effects, and continuing presence of slavery in our world through repentance, reconciliation, and mission. In partnership with the Diocese in Liverpoool, England and our siblings in Christ in Kumasi, Ghana, our own Diocese is preparing to send 15 youth participants to Liverpool in late June and early July of 2023. This is one of three trips that will complete the Triangle Pilgrimage: Liverpool, UK in the summer of 2023; Virginia hosts the summer of 2024; and, we travel to Kumasi, Ghana, the capital of the Ashanti Nation the summer of 2025.

For more information and to apply for this extraordinary opportunity, visit the Triangle of Hope application page. Applications are due November 1.

Service Times

Sunday Eucharist at St. Michael's is a comprehensive service of both Word and Sacrament. We read from the Bible, we recite or sing a psalm, and we listen to a sermon. Then we pray for the Church and the world, and we ask God's forgiveness for our sins. Finally, we greet one another in the peace of Christ and move to the sacramental service of the Holy Communion.

At services of Holy Eucharist, all baptized persons are welcome to receive holy communion. We also offer blessings to those who for any reason are not able or not comfortable receiving this sacrament.Children are always welcome at the communion rail. Learn more about Episcopal Worship
