This Week: Discipleship Sunday
We have set aside a day to reflect on our calling as disciples of Christ. More specifically, we’ll have the opportunity to reflect on St. Michael’s impact in the greater Arlington community, as well an opportunity to discern where our gifts might be best placed in the coming months. In 2021, St. Michael’s focused on two areas of great need in our community: housing and food insecurity. While the current economy has certainly not helped improve either, we want to be mindful of where else our gifts might be most needed in the year to come. Please take a moment to fill out this three question survey, and share your thoughts on how St. Michael’s can best support our neighbors.
On Sunday, September 11, please join us in welcoming representatives from the four local charitable partners we support as a parish: The Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH), Doorways, INOVA Blood Donor Services, and PathForward (Formerly Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network).
Please share your thoughts in the survey, and plan to join these leaders, and the representatives from our non-profit communities, on Sunday, September 11 immediately following our worship at 9 AM.
