TODAY, Sunday Sept. 25: Traces of the Trade Viewing
We will offer a parish-wide screening of the film that served as the inspiration for the creation of the Sacred Ground curriculum. In the feature documentary Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, filmmaker Katrina Browne discovers that her New England ancestors were the largest slave-trading family in U.S. history. She and nine cousins retrace the Triangle Trade and gain powerful new perspectives on the black/white divide.
All are welcome for the screening in the parish hall at 4 PM, which will last 90 minutes, followed by a brief time of discussion in small groups. If you would find it helpful to have childcare available for this event, please let The Rev. Beth Franklin know.
