Join Fellow Episcopalians in Calling for Social Change This Weekend

All are invited to take part in The Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly & March on Washington and to the Polls, which will be held this Saturday, June 18. The Episcopal Church is a formal partner of the organizing group, the Poor People's Campaign, owing to our shared goals of promoting access to food, health care, affordable housing, and other issues. The march is at 10:00 AM and we will gather at 9 AM on the green space nearest Madison Dr. NW between 3rd and 4th streets. We will have swag and water with us!

  • To attend either in person or virtually, RSVP here.
  • For in-person attendees, as we move throughout the weekend we will be using Signal (a secure way to communicate) to keep in touch. To gain access to the Signal group, text Phoebe at 781-718-0161.
  • More details about the march are available at the website of the Poor People's Campaign, here.

In addition to the march, all are invited to gather with fellow Episcopalians on Friday June 17 for fellowship ahead of a community meal at the Church of the Epiphany, 1317 G St NW, Washington, DC. The space will open at 1 PM and the Episcopal Gathering will be at 4 PM, featuring speakers, prayer, and time to get to know one another. Then, all are invited to participate with the DC Poor People's Campaign in a community meal at Freedom Plaza and a prayer service at the Lincoln Memorial. Please RSVP for the Friday events here.

Service Times

Sunday Eucharist at St. Michael's, celebrated at both services, is a comprehensive service of both Word and Sacrament. We read from the Bible, we recite or sing a psalm, and we listen to a sermon. Then we pray for the Church and the world, and we ask God's forgiveness for our sins. Finally, we greet one another in the peace of Christ and move to the sacramental service of the Holy Communion.

At services of Holy Eucharist, all baptized persons are welcome to receive holy communion. We also offer blessings to those who for any reason are not able or not comfortable receiving this sacrament.Children are always welcome at the communion rail. Learn more about Episcopal Worship

Today's Worship Service

9 AM Holy Eucharist on the Lawn
Please bring a chair, and dress for the weather.

Our service will not be available on Zoom this week as we will be worshipping on the lawn.

For all indoor worship services

At this time we will continue to ask that all attendees of indoor worship services wear masks, preferably well-fitting N95 or KN95 masks. Wearing masks makes our indoor gatherings as safe as possible for all, especially those who are at higher risk for contracting COVID. Masks are available at all entrances to the building for anyone who may need to make use of them. We appreciate your thoughtfulness in caring for your neighbor.
