Children’s and Youth Ministry
As we look forward to the upcoming school year, we are also excited about regathering children and youth at St. Michael’s. We hope you will join us on Sunday, September 12 for the Blessing of the Backpacks where we invite all children and youth to come forward during the 10 AM worship service to receive a backpack tag and a blessing for the new academic year.
Thank you so much to those of you who have already shared your thoughts on how we can keep our youngest members healthy and safe as we regather. If you haven’t had the chance to respond to the survey yet, you are welcome to share your thoughts here. Your feedback will help the Children’s and Youth Ministry Committee make plans that we hope will meet the needs of the parish’s children, youth and families in what continues to be an uncertain time.
We will have more to share soon about nursery care, Children’s Chapel, and youth gatherings for the fall. In the meantime, please let us know if you are interested in volunteering with this ministry. We especially need volunteers for our youth ministry who are not themselves parents of teenagers.
