worship ministries
The root of the word “liturgy” is “the work of the people,” meaning the communal prayer of everyone in worship together during a service of Holy Communion is what roots us in and allows us to be God’s love and blessing. The beautiful thing about the invitation to participate is that who we are and what we bring is enough. God meets us here!
In addition to being present in the pew, parishioners are invited to take a role in leading worship on a weekly basis in a variety of capacities, including as Lay Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, Lay Reader, Greeter, Usher, Acolyte, Altar Guild, or Flower Guild. Please connect with the rector or email the parish office to learn more about serving in any of these capacities.
Altar Flowers
Altar flowers are dedicated as memorials of thanksgiving, in memory of, or in honor of loved ones. Dedications are placed in the weekly bulletin. A suggested donation of $50 helps defray the cost of flowers and all other altar supplies to enhance our worship. Donations can be made online or by writing a check to St. Michael’s with “Altar Flowers” in the memo.
