Doorways for Women and Families provides support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Its services include a 24 hour hotline, hospital accompaniment, as well counseling and safe housing for survivors and their children. It also provides next step housing and support for clients that are graduating from the shelter through its Homestart Supportive Housing Program.
St. Michael’s parishioners are long-time financial supporters of Doorways. In addition, we assist through gifts for mothers and children, donations of household items, and gift cards for purchasing back-to-school supplies and holiday gifts.
