Facts about Saints

The “Artists’ Statements,” “Artists Biographical Information,” and “Purchase Lists” for the participating artists are arranged alphabetically, by artist last name.

The artworks, too, are arranged alphabetically, by artist last name. To keep the organization simple, no further divisions or groupings are made, although the artists represent in their portraits not only recognized saints, such as St. Patrick or Mother Teresa, but also mystics and martyrs, theologians, philosophers, leaders, and artists, the latter a term encompassing painters and other visual artists as well as poets and writers. All the images appear alphabetically under each artist’s name.

With the exception of 12 portraits that appear only online, the artworks are available to view in person in the parish hall gallery space.
