Children's Chapel

The volunteer sign-up schedule can be found here. Each week, an additional adult is needed to support the leadership of the Chapel Minister.

Children’s Chapel meets each Sunday at 10:00 AM. Pre-kindergarten through elementary-aged school children are invited to worship in our Chapel (located upstairs) while their parents worship in the main sanctuary. The children participate in a gathering activity that mixes fellowship, the daily Bible lesson, and FUN. They then proceed to the chapel for their worship service, which is a short service based on the Rite II Eucharist. The children learn the order of worship, proper responses, hymns, the Apostle’s Creed, and the Prayers of the People. The Gospel lesson serves as a basis for a sermon discussion. The children serve as: ushers, crucifer, acolytes, prayer leaders, and offering collector. At the conclusion of the service, the children re-join parents in the church for Communion.

Service Times

Sunday Eucharist at St. Michael's, celebrated at both services, is a comprehensive service of both Word and Sacrament. We read from the Bible, we recite or sing a psalm, and we listen to a sermon. Then we pray for the Church and the world, and we ask God's forgiveness for our sins. Finally, we greet one another in the peace of Christ and move to the sacramental service of the Holy Communion.

At services of Holy Eucharist, all baptized persons are welcome to receive holy communion. We also offer blessings to those who for any reason are not able or not comfortable receiving this sacrament.Children are always welcome at the communion rail. Learn more about Episcopal Worship

Today's Worship Service

9 AM Holy Eucharist on the Lawn
Please bring a chair, and dress for the weather.

Our service will not be available on Zoom this week as we will be worshipping on the lawn.

For all indoor worship services

At this time we will continue to ask that all attendees of indoor worship services wear masks, preferably well-fitting N95 or KN95 masks. Wearing masks makes our indoor gatherings as safe as possible for all, especially those who are at higher risk for contracting COVID. Masks are available at all entrances to the building for anyone who may need to make use of them. We appreciate your thoughtfulness in caring for your neighbor.
