XYZ Lunch: Women Winning the Vote: Celebrating 100 Years
Join us, Thursday, February 6, for a potluck lunch in the parish hall. Pretzels and punch at noon. Lunch at 12:30 PM. Our speaker Nancy Tate will present highlights of the August 1920 passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing women the constitutional right to vote—the largest expansion of democracy on a single day in US history. What is the story behind that historic accomplishment, and how has it affected the last 100 years? Nancy is involved in national efforts commemorating the suffrage struggle. All are welcome, especially seniors.
