We Need Front Porches
In this week’s meditation to the Diocese, Bishop Jennifer Brooke-Davidson made a compelling case for why we desperately need front porches. “The only agenda of the front porch is to be a neighbor; to slowly get to know people.” The vessel of the front porch invites us to think in a new way about how we live into God’s mission, which we have been exploring in a variety of ways at St. Michael’s for several years. I commend her whole article to you, and invite you to think about how St. Michael’s may be called to meet people on the front porch in this season of life together.
