Rectory Construction Update: Week Three
Construction of the deck began this week with the ledger boards, posts and joists being installed before the rain mid-week. Two dump truck loads of soil were used to back fill the posts and regrade under the deck to move water away from the house. (There is still some dirt left if anyone needs some – feel free to stop by the Rectory and load up!)
The new egress window in the basement (which still needs to be trimmed out), lets in lots of natural light, in addition to increasing the safety for anyone staying in the basement. Additional electrical work also continued this week.
