Pilgrimage to Cambridge Recap
On Saturday 50 participants from Lomax AME Zion and St. Michael’s traveled to Cambridge, Maryland on pilgrimage. We visited the Dorchester County Courthouse, where countless slaves were sold, which also now hosts the Beacon of Hope Statue, featuring Harriet Tubman. Linchester Mill and the Leverton House, stops on the Underground Railroad, were also a part of our experience. Additionally, we visited the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center, and the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center. A recap of our trip can be found in the video below.
All are welcome on June 26 at 7:30 PM for a conversation debriefing our experience. We’ll have time to share what left a lasting impression, and what more we might want to learn.
