Book Study
In the weeks following Pentecost, all are welcome for a theological discussion of Wendell Berry’s, The Hidden Wound. This prolific American writer uses his own narrative experience to shed light on the American problem of racism. We’ll examine themes of forgiveness, resurrection, abundance, scarcity, virtue ethics, and the Kingdom of God. Beginning June 14 and ending July 12, we’ll gather on Wednesday evenings from 7:00–8:30 PM in the library, with the option for hybrid participation.
Sunday Eucharist at St. Michael's is a comprehensive service of both Word and Sacrament. We read from the Bible, we recite or sing a psalm, and we listen to a sermon. Then we pray for the Church and the world, and we ask God's forgiveness for our sins. Finally, we greet one another in the peace of Christ and move to the sacramental service of the Holy Communion.
At services of Holy Eucharist, all baptized persons are welcome to receive holy communion. We also offer blessings to those who for any reason are not able or not comfortable receiving this sacrament.Children are always welcome at the communion rail. Learn more about Episcopal Worship

Story Core: All are welcome to gather in the parish hall following worship on Sunday, for a time of sharing our stories, while getting to the core of the Christian story. There is no homework, and no need to have participated in conversation the week before. The intention is for this to be an intergenerational conversation, accessible no matter how much time you’ve spent with Holy Scripture.
Children's Worship: During the Season of Advent, we will focus on a different theme each Sunday as we build a paper Advent wreath. We will send the candles home each week and are happy to include any missed candles to work on at home if your child is interested. Just let us know! We also have a digital copy of an Advent calendar of family activities to do as you wait for Christmas. This is not intended to be another "to do" on a long list this season but simply an opportunity to pause occasionally throughout the month and remember what we are waiting for. Please be in touch with our Minister of Children and Families, Karen Ruff, to learn more about children’s worship.
