We are blessed at St. Michael’s with a wonderful Youth Group of middle and high school students who contribute to the church and the community in a myriad of ways.
Recent and favorite events include working with the Salvation Army to help organize the Angel Tree presents and stockings donated by parishioners at Christmas, hosting the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, holding a food drive for the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), helping out with Vacation Bible School, and exploring spiritual and theological themes in movies through “popcorn theology.”
The Youth Group is also involved in mission work, typically taking a trip every other year. Recent trips have involved the group with family and community assistance projects in Appalachia and coastal North Carolina.
All high school students are invited to enjoy fellowship and learning through our Youth Group. For more information, please contact Caroline Haynes at youthcontact@stmichaelsarlington.org.
