We have two services on Sundays, at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., at both of which we offer the sacrament of Holy Eucharist, either Rite I or Rite II, from the Book of Common Prayer, although we provide a separately printed Order of Worship which many find easier to follow.
All baptized
persons are welcome to receive holy communion. We also offer blessings
to those who for any reason are not able or not comfortable receiving
this sacrament. More about our Episcopal worship service.
Music is an important part of our worship together. The hymns we sing are found in the 1982 Hymnal and in the Wonder, Love and Praise hymnal. During the school year our Youth Choir sings at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service at least twice each month, and the Adult Choir sings at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service at least three times each month. In the summer months the Adult Choir sings on selected Sundays.
At the 10:00 a.m. service we also have Children's Chapel for children from pre-kindergarten through second grade. Younger children rejoin their parents in the Sanctuary prior to Communion. Older children are invited to participate in the regular services with their parents.
Sunday School classes for all youth are held following the 10:00 a.m. service during the school year. Most Sundays an Adult Forum is also held following the 10:00 a.m. service
Professional child care is provided for infants and toddlers during both Sunday services.
There are many opportunities for members of St. Michael's to be involved in leading worship. Please see our Ministries page for more information.
