St. Michael's
expresses its grateful thanksgiving to God by returning a proportion of
its income to the work of the Lord, through support of the shared
mission and ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.
We are
committed to participating through the Virginia Plan for Proportionate Giving, which since 1958 has helped shape our stewardship of personal, parish and diocesan financial resources. The support of
St. Michael's and the many other parishes across the Diocese of
Virginia sustains the important mission work of the diocese in
Virginia, across the US, and overseas.

include building schools in the Sudan, assisting Crow Indians in
Montana, supporting rural communities in West Virginia, underwriting
medical missions in Latin America, and providing disaster relief in
Mississippi, Louisiana, and South America.
