The St. Michael's book groups are informally organized, friendly gatherings to discuss books selected by common consensus. New participants are always welcome to attend the monthly meetings, and even those who haven't read the books will find the discussions lively and entertaining. Monday Book Group The Monday Book Group meets monthly in the evening to discuss a book chosen because of its interest to the Christian community. We try to be an open forum for discussion of the books and the topics and ideas they raise from within a context of Christian intellectual curiosity. Our interests are broad, and our only limiting criterion in the choice of books is that they seriously (although not necessarily without humor) assist us in our explorations of Christian life and belief.
The group meets in the church library, generally on the first Monday of the month, at 7:30 p.m. For further information, please contact David Donaldson at monbookcontact@stmichaelsarlington.org. Wednesday Lunch Bunch Book Group The number of booklovers has grown over the past year, but we still have room for more of you who like to read good books and talk about them. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 12 noon in the library. Please bring a brown bag lunch. It’s even okay to come if you haven’t read the book, but just want to hear about it. For more information, please email wedbookcontact@stmichaelsarlington.org.
